Good
We stayed here one night. Building is old and looks very nice until you enter room. Bed was comfy, bathroom alright. Only one plug, no shelves. It was fine for one night, but not good for longterm i guess. Not for me anyway. Close to some restaurants and caffees.
Kitchen is not a kitchen aymore in this place. Would not leave a thig in the fridge.

Average stay
The girl at reception was so helpful and so so lovely
I normally have very low standards for properties (stay in cheap places) but this place really wasn't great. Our room had an air conditioner and a roof fan that didn't work. When I asked reception about them working they just said no. We did have a floor fan (that wasn't very powerful) and it was REALLY hot in the room. The kitchen was so dirty - I was planning on doing some cooking but NO WAY. I wouldn't even put my stuff in the fridge. Breakfast was very basic but did the job. Had a laundry service and the man dropped our clothes to our room at 10:30pm at night. Both my mum and myself were asleep and awoke to someone knocking on the door with our washing? People were allowed to smoke in The social room (where they advertise a movie every night) which made the place and reception area smell. The place is in an okay location - still required a descent amount of walking to things. There was no bin in the room so after three days we had a rubbish pile on the floor - was not ideal.

Fair
Good breakfast included. Access to kitchen. Great location, pretty much right in the centre. Staff were helpful and friendly and let us keep our bags there and use the kitchen after we checked out as we had a 9:30pm bus. The WiFi was really good.
Toilet didn't flush, had to put our hands in the cistern and manually flush every time. Our bed was just 2 singles pushed together with very thin sheets. Lots of noise late at night (washing machine and dryer as well as people making noise). Our room door stopped locking properly.

What would you highlight about Viejo Telmo
Big old wooden hotel with a rooftop
Comfortable 4 nights here. its laid back, big, old, and is obvious the place has seen better days. An old place in need of some spucing up. The dilapidated, run down appearance of the roof 'terrace' reflects the lodging as a whole. (come on guys! You have a great USP here. Why not invest in a umbrella table or 2 and some chairs!). Staff were efficient and friendly and accommodating.
My room came ensuite, with airco, ceiling fan and TV. It also had 3 devices, 1 for airco, 1 for TV and the other for ??? A towel was provided, but no soap. The airco unit was broken. I reported this to reception, but no attempt to fix during my 4 nite stay. The shower curtain was missing, but this was replaced. The breakfast is minimal, but coffee superb. No lift due to age of establishment. And theres lots of stairs!
